Challenge
Replacing the Cooling Water Cycle with Maximum Time and Cost Efficiency
Enertec Hameln, operator of a waste-to-energy plant with district heating, planned a capacity expansion. The entire cooling water cycle needed to be replaced within just six weeks. Requirements included pressure-resistant pipelines with high ring stiffness and minimized plant downtime.
Solution
Innovative GRP Pipe System with Push-Fit Connection
Fiberpipe developed a custom GRP pipe system with a ring stiffness of SN 10,000 and a pressure resistance of 4 Bar. To avoid time-consuming laminated connections, a tensile push-fit system with a double O-ring was designed, significantly accelerating the installation process. The lightweight and highly compatible pipes met all project requirements.

Precise Planning and Fast Implementation
Following a detailed needs assessment, a testing and approval plan was created in collaboration with the client. Fiberpipe managed the planning, manufacturing, and installation of the pipes as a complete solution. The cooling water cycle was efficiently replaced within five days—significantly faster than conventional methods.
